Whipped cottage & Goat cheese cherry dip/ comes together in 5 minutes

This is the only dip you will need for the entire holiday season. There is absolutely no cooking required, making it a breeze to prepare, and it comes together effortlessly in just 5 minutes. High in protein and probiotics, this dish is not only delicious but also well balanced. The fresh thyme and vibrant red cherry preserve combined in this dish truly make it festive, ensuring that it becomes the centerpiece at all of your gatherings. Once you take your first bite and experience the wonderful flavors, you will undoubtedly find yourself craving more. It’s creamy, tangy, sweet and herby; it’s the perfect combination of flavors that come together wonderfully.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, the size of the curd does not matter

  • 1 small log of goat cheese (113g)

  • 1/2 cup of Bonne Maman cherry preserve

  • Fresh thym to garnish

Steps

  1. Using a food processor, thoroughly whip together the cottage cheese and the goat cheese until they are completely blended and smooth.

  2. Transfer your freshly whipped mix of cheese into your favorite dip dish, making sure to spread it evenly for an appealing presentation. Then create a little or a well in the center of the cheese mixture to receive the cherry preserve.

  3. Gently pour the sweet cherry preserve into the little well of your whipped cheese mixture.

  4. To finish, garnish the dip with fresh thyme, adding a touch of elegance and flavor.

  5. Your dip is now ready to enjoy alongside your choice of crispy crackers, pita chips or pita bread, perfect for dipping; see below for recommendations to enhance your snack experience.

I highly recommend that you take the time to create a small well or hole in the center of your cheese mixture to pour your cherry preserve inside. This little adjustment will allow for your dip to maintain its beautiful appearance and stay looking perfect for a longer period of time. If the preserve is simply laid on top of the whipped cheese, it will start to become runnier and lose its appealing consistency on the top after a little bit of time at room temperature. This is completely optional but will only take 20 more seconds to accomplish.

You can keep this dip for up to 2 days in your refrigerator, keeping the whipped & goat cheese mixture separate from the cherry dip.

  • If you would like to substitute the cherry preserve, you can also use the Bonne Maman strawberry jam or Bonne Maman 4 fruits blend.

If you do not have fresh thym, you can also use fresh mint or rosemary (in small quantity).

In all cases, do not use dry herbs to garnish this dish or parsley. It will not bring you the flavor profile desired.

  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon at the time while creaming in the food processor.

  • Whipped cottage cheese is all the rage right now. For good reasons.

Keep in mind that you can blend cottage cheese with tangy cheeses to use as a base for dip. You can use cottage cheese (1 cup) with feta cheese (1/4cup) OR goat cheese along with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add roasted veggies to top, roasted chickpeas or quartered cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs. Drizzle balsamic glaze and your golden.
