Vanilla bean & White chocolate infused whipped cream
& American Flag Cake featuring Sally’s Baking Addiction “Perfect White Cake”
This simple sweet treat prevents you from getting into something elaborate that takes you away from your company. My Vanilla Bean & White Chocolate infused whipped cream can be made 3 days ahead of your gathering. Grab or make your favorite Vanilla cake and lather it with this whipped cream and you will be so pleased!
My wish is for you to enjoy the people around you & jump in the pool one more time this season. Don’t worry about making this dessert perfect, I certainly didn’t; what matters is that you bless someone with it.
Ingredients:
1 cup of heavy whipping cream 35%
4 1/2 oz of white chocolate (I buy the Lindt classe recipe bar, it is found in the bakery section of the grocery store)
1 vanilla bean, cut in half and scraped
Cake of your choice (Vanilla, white or angel food cake)
Strawberries & Blackberries (to make the American Flag cake; see details bellow)
Steps:
Break your white chocolate bar into a glass bowl, set aside.
In a saucepan, bring your heavy whipping cream & vanilla bean to a boil. Make sure to cut your vanilla bean in half and scrape the inside of the bean into the saucepan. Once it starts to boil, take it off the stove & let it rest for 10 minutes with the lid on. This will allow your cream to infuse with the vanilla bean.
After 10 minutes, bring your saucepan back to the stove and into a light boil.
Take your mesh strainer and pour the vanilla bean infused cream directly into the white chocolate, then whisk it all together until well combined and smooth- you are not whipping it yet.
Cover your delightful cream with a lid and refrigerate it for at least 3 hours. You can keep it like this for 3 days before whipping it into whipped cream.
Time to whip! Take your completely cooled off cream and whip it until the soft peak are formed. You can keep this for 2 days.
