Satisfying & Decadent Overnight Oats
Overnight oats are a fantastic choice for a nutritious and indulgent breakfast that fits seamlessly into a busy lifestyle. This recipe not only offers a delightful flavor but is also packed with protein, fiber, and essential vitamins, while incorporating a boost of caffeine. Feel free to personalize it to your taste, but one of my favorites is the combination of bananas and blueberries.
Ingredients
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon peanut butter
Fresh bananas or blueberries for topping
Steps
In a medium-sized bowl or jar, combine the quick oats, brewed coffee, vanilla yogurt, maple syrup, chia seeds, and peanut butter. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours). This allows the oats to absorb the liquid, creating a creamy texture.
The next morning, give your oats a good stir. Adjust the consistency by adding a splash of milk or yogurt if they're too thick.
Top with sliced bananas, fresh blueberries, or any other toppings of your choice, such as nuts, seeds, or a drizzle of maple syrup.
